In this round of revisions we continue to work at achieving a successful balance of all the elements.

A variation of 3f with the following:

• left hand column has lighter coloring with shading as in 3g.

• middle column has the same color as in 3f, with the fading as in 3g.

A variation of 3d with a softer blue in the globe and a softer yellow-green.

A variation of 3b with a softer blue in the globe.

A variation of 3b picking up the darker shading in the ocean areas of the globe.

This design is the same as #3c but we made some subtle adjustments to the color blends.

Here we introduce some additional colors.

The World Globe has blue oceans, and the vertical bars of color are not visible through it.

We added a bright green in the center color bar, and adjusted the orange and red-orange colors.

In this variation, we removed the vertical white lines between the blocks of color.

We also added white glows in the header block of color, underneath the header block of color, and around the World Globe.

This design uses the graphic from Revision #1 - Page 2.

 

 


SELECTED DESIGN - REVISION #2

In this round of revisions, it was requested that some elements from the original design concept #1,
and from the sample page 2 be incorporated into the selected design to make it more unique.

SELECTED DESIGN REVISION #2a

Used elements from the brown / yellow design concept #1, with coloring and shading like in sample page 2 .

Kept World Globe for International flavor and treated silhouettes in a more unique manner.

The 3 silhouetted people represent a basic universal "International" family unit.

The additional color blends add a unique 3 dimensional effect.

This design is the same as revision #2a, but the people are silhouetted in solid black.

SELECTED DESIGN REVISION #2c

This design is a variation of revision #2a, with the people silhouetted in a blue blend and a different treatment of the title.

The Rady Children's logo has not been added yet to this design.

 


SELECTED DESIGN - REVISION #1

From the three rough design concepts (below), concept #2 was selected,
with the request that the design have more of an International flavor.

Revised to emphasis the International aspect of the conference.

World Globe added in white with transparent blue-green oceans and 3d grid lines.

Different views of the World Globe accenting various continents will be scattered throughout the inside of the brochure to continue the International theme.

ORIGINAL 3 DESIGN CONCEPTS

CONCEPT #1 - Simple, elegant, earthy, universal.

With it's warm color palette and uncluttered simplicity, this concept communicates the essence of family - man, woman, child.

In a sophisticated inviting way - it represents all families everywhere.

CONCEPT #2- Bold silhouettes, bright colors exciting, joyful.

The silhouetted playful children pop against the brightly colored backgrounds. The bright colors carry into the type.

The main title features a 3d metallic chrome treatment.

CONCEPT #3 - Stock photographs of Families of varying types - colorful, happy.

The collage of family groups represents happy, healthy families from around the world.

The clean layout and colorful treatment of the type create a fresh open airy feeling.
